The Governor of Oregon in June, 2007, has introduced legislation to oversee and put regulations on the college textbook industry’s penchant for ripping off students. The bill would make it optional for students to purchase “bundled” textbooks–which usually means a book accompanied by a sealed (usually worthless) CD that jacks up the price about $20.
